The Tax Collection Department is responsible for the billing and collection of real estate taxes and sewer charges.
REMINDER FROM THE TAX OFFICE: TAXES ARE DUE ON FEB 1; MAY 1; AUGUST 1; AND NOVEMBER 1. TAXES ARE DUE ON THE FIRST WITH A 10 DAY GRACE PERIOD. PAYMENT MUST REACH OUR OFFICE BY THE 10TH. ANY PAYMENTS AFTER THE 10TH WILL ACCRUE INTEREST BACK TO THE DUE DATE OF THE 1ST. If the 10th falls on a weekend or a holiday the grace period is extended to the next business day.
No other bills are sent throughout the year, unless you have an added assessment on your property or a special assessment for sewer, sidewalk or curbs.
The Tax Office is located at 400 Witherspoon Street and is open Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm to accept tax payments in person or mail your check made payable to "Princeton" to the:

TAXPAYERS MAY PAY THEIR TAXES ONLINE
You may pay taxes through our website using your checking account (there is no fee with this option), or with a credit card. If using a credit card you will be charged a convenience fee of 2.65% of the amount charged (with a minimum fee of $3.00). This fee is passed directly to the credit card processing company and is not a part of the taxes collected by Princeton.
